Cheap And Cheerful Web Promotion Services

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010

People are always wanting to attract more visitors to their website. We all would like to see more traffic, however what are the best ways to promote a website, which does not cost an arm and a leg?

1. Pay per click advertising.

PPC is becoming more and more popular with programs such as Google adwords reporting bigger profits on a regular basis. This is a way of getting your website on the first or second pages by you paying an advertising fee. You set the amount you are happy to pay per click and when somebody clicks on your ad, you have an extra visitor, however at a cost to you.

2. Article Marketing.

Writing articles such as this one is a very popular form of web promotion. Other webmasters are able to use your articles on their website which gives you an extra backward link as you are able to add you website address at the bottom of the article. People who are reading the article on the article websites are also potential visitors. I have had great success with article marketing when promoting my Medical negligence claims and upvc doors websites.

3. Obtaining backward links.

If you are looking to increase your search engine position it is a good idea to try to increase the amount of backward links you have. Before you think that you have conquered the world I must pre-warn you; this is far from easy to accomplish as there are very few webmasters who are happy to add a link on to their websites. It is worth making a few phone calls or sending a few e-mails and asking the question, if the person would like to exchange links. It is of more value to have a link from a website in the same type trade of your own.

4. Always include your domain address in advertising.

Wherever you advertise it is important to include your website domain address, and also at the bottom of any e-mails you send.

Web Promotion Tips And Tricks

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

There are many webmasters who are looking into ways to increase traffic and on how to obtain a higher page rank for their websites. I myself have many websites which I am always looking to promote.

Whether your site is to do with last minute holidays, training for foster carers or any other subject it is essential to attract as many visitors as possible.

PPC

Pay per click is where you agree to pay a certain amount of money when people click on an advert that you have created. By creating an a Google adword campaign and tracking its performance will allow you to reach your target audience. You will be placed higher the more you are willing to spend as it is based on a form of auction. As with all forms of advertising you need to be watchful of how much money you spend in comparison to how much you earn. This can be very popular especially if your website is fairly new and is low down in the natural search results.

Writing articles

I believe that the best forms of web promotion is by writing articles like the one you are reading. People reading the articles are potential visitors to your website, as you are able to include a link to your website in the article. When a webmaster decides to include the article on their website it means that you gain a backward link via the author bio box which is placed towards the end of the article. If you are able to obtain some high quality backward links from sites which have a high page ranking then there is a good chance that your site will manage to increase its own page rank.

Link exchange program

As I have just stated, it is vitally important to spend time building up the number of backward links your website has. Joining a link exchange program can seriously reduce your workload, and people have told me that linkmetro is quite good.

An Essential Web Promotion Strategy

Monday, February 8th, 2010

I have been a web marketer for the last ten years; there have been many changes to the way people should go about promoting their websites in this time and it can prove to be a bit of nightmare trying to keep in touch with the latest web promotion changes. What worked only three years ago could now result in your site receiving a ban or penalty on the major search engines. Paid links and over-excessive reciprocal linking are seemingly a thing of the past. So as we move through 2009 what types of web promotion strategy should a webmaster be following?

I am also involved with helping people to discover how to stop stuttering and I also work within the cheap holidays sector.

In the past the formula for gaining a high search engine ranking was quite simple - you just had to buy some top quality links. It did not even seem to matter if the site that was providing the link had anything to do with the site purchasing the link. Many a website could be seen buying up multiple links on high page rank sites in the hope and belief that it would in turn help their own site. Businesses grew out of this new niche market of selling backward links; it seeemed that this was a very easy way to make a lot of money.

But then the major power in the world of the search engines, Google, decided to move the goal posts by declaring war on this paid links market, stating that it was seriously distorting their search results. This upset a lot of people, this tends to happen when money is involved, with many accusing Google of acting as God. The reply from Google was short and to the point and went along the lines of; it is our search engine and we therefore decide our own guidelines; if you want to sell text links that is fine but it may result in some form of penalty as this goes against our current. They were basically saying you can do whatever you want with your website and at the same time we can do whatever we want with our search engine. Fair play, I say. I am actually very happy with the new guidelines; it was very hard to compete with webmasters who had deep pockets etc. Now the one-man band can compete with the big corporation; hard work, keeping up to date with the latest guidelines as well as learning from the SEO experts will once again prove to be very beneficial.

2009 brings about a new watch word in the world of web promotion; relevancy. What does this mean? Well quite simply the backward links that you attempt to obtain now need to be relevant to the site that you run for them to have a real benefit. Again this surely is common sense. If a website about gardening has a link pointing to a website about camping, is this offering any value to its site visitors? Not really.

2009 is also the year when those who are willing to work hard will finally get their rewards. Some of the old favourites such as article marketing are becoming more popular than ever but quality is now far more important than quantity. Only the best articles will be chosen to be published on other people’s websites and let’s face it they have enough articles to choose from.

Ensuring that your website is optimised correctly with the main keywords placed naturally within the text of the homepage will also be essential, be careful not to “keyword stuff” your homepage though.

A Day In The Life Of An SEO Expert

Monday, February 8th, 2010

Are you interested in finding out about a day in the life of a web marketer? I am fully aware that each and every web marketer will work in a different way however what I am about to describe is a typical day that I used to have when I worked in this industry.

Being in this industry as a self-employed website marketer enables one to choose the amount of hours they work and to choose when they work. This is not like your average 9-5 office job, in fact it is probably the opposite. This is one of the reasons why I love to be able to provide web promotion tips and advice to various webmasters.

I for one would choose to work late at night as this is when I could concentrate the most and when I could get enough peace. I am able to work, free from any distractions such as the phone ringing or people knocking on my front door etc. I could therefore fully focus on the job in hand which was to work hard to obtain top ten rankings in Google for my clients websites.

As such my main working day would commence at around 10.30pm and this would last until around two.30am. I thoroughly enjoy working in this way and in this profession, it suits me.

My day would start at about half past seven when I would awake, clean my teeth and go to the toilet. I would however then return to bed until around eleven o’clock to gain a few more hours valuable sleep.

It may seem rather sad but I would have a quick read of my e-mails before eating a bowl of cerial for my breakfast. It would then be a short stroll to the shops to purchase a newspaper before returning home.

After a few business telephone calls were completed I would head off to the tennis club for a couple of hours.

At around 6.15pm I would eat my evening meal before relaxing in front of the television.

10.30pm - time to start promoting the websites.

I am now a fully fledged member of the parenting club and life is rather more hectic these days - but I have to say is even better than before, if that is possible.

I am now involved in various projects including offering people composite doors as well as providing company’s with the ability to obtain cheap calls; something which is much sought after in a recession.

Life as a person who offers a web promotion service was, at the time, a very enjoyable one and I would certainly recommend other people to enter into this profession.

How To Increase Your Online Sales

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

What is the best way to increase your online sales? How can I promote my website for free? What are the benefits of article marketing? Does article marketing work? These are questions that I am asked on a regular basis and are questions that I will be answering in this article.

I own a small business and have a number of websites which I use to promote the services that I offer. I am involved in providing stuttering treatments as well as with a company that offer a cost reduction strategy that works. I have always been interested in trying to gain as many visitors to the websites as possible, through ethical means. I started off by entrusting so called SEO experts with the job of promoting the site as I had little knowledge of the industry. The band SEO expert or web promotion expert is often used by many people who are basically scam artists as I have now found to my cost. As it turned out neither were they, despite their claims of being an SEO expert.

After some particularly bad experiences with these so called experts of the SEO industry and after wasting a great deal of money I decided to attempt to educate myself on the art of web promotion. This was about seven years ago and one of the first things I was to learn was about the power of article marketing. I started to write articles and was astonished with the results, I was gaining additional traffic that were coming directly from the articles and the websites were also obtaining higher search engine rankings.

Article marketing has stood the test of time and is still as beneficial today as it was seven years ago. Article marketing is a free form of web promotion which is a major benefit to the small businessman!

I aim to write an average of one article per day and have managed to do this for the last two and a half years, the results speak for themselves.

Top Quality Web Promotion Strategies

Saturday, November 14th, 2009

Paid links and over-excessive reciprocal linking are seemingly a thing of the past. So as we move through 2009 what types of web promotion strategy should a webmaster be following?

I am not personally involved in this industry; I prefer to help people to stop stuttering and I also work within the fostering services UK sector.

Just one or two years ago you could gain a high ranking within a search engine like Google by simply buying a link on a page which had a high page rank.

Google, the daddy of all of the search engines, then decided to change the rules and I for one am very happy that they did. They decided that it was no longer ethical to buy or sell backward links. The Life Of A Web Marketer - Blissfully Wasteful

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

Life as a web promoter can be a very cushy one, choosing your own hours and working at a time that suits you. I have been involved in this business since 1999 and I have had a large number of satisfied web promotion clients. In this article I will be describing what a typical day used to be like for me prior to the children being born. I would not change my current life for anything however I do miss those days from the past when life seemed so easy.

It is the year 2000 and I have eight people/companies who I am working for. They have contracted me to promote their websites with the view of gaining a higher search engine ranking position and to increase their overall profits.

I have learnt rather a lot about SEO and website promotion up to this point mainly from reading the views of the established specialists from the industry.

I would usually work between 11pm and 3am is this is when my concentration seemed to be at its best.

This would be my typical day:

7am - This is the time that I would normally wake up; I would clean my teeth and go to the toliet before going back to bed.

10am - After an extended “lie in” I would turn on my laptop and the television whilst still in bed. At this stage I am merely going to check my e-mail; the news, the stock market and read through a couple of sites that I like to keep an eye on such as seroundtable.

10.20am - I phone the DVD replication company to check if the discs that I have ordered are ready.

10.30am - I make myself some breakfast and head in to the lounge; I turn the fire and television on. I think it is time for a chill out, it has after all been a rather busy start to the day!

1pm - I walk to the shops; firstly for some much needed exercise and secondly to buy a newspaper.

2pm - I drive to the tennis club as I have arranged to play a game with a good friend of mine.

6pm - I cook myself a quick meal before watching some more television.

A quick break from the t.v to check my e-mails.v. I speak to a good friend of mine on the telephone who is arranging a service for me where by I will be able to make cheap calls.

11pm - It is time to get to work - to obtain those all important backward links and to ensure that the clients websites are still positioned/ranked within the top ten of Google for their main keywords.

3.15am - I guess it is that time again - yes time for sleep.
